In this series of 3D-printed heads, Le employs emerging technologies and nontraditional materials to critique art history, drawing on images from the past and present to explore the physical characteristics and physiognomy of her parents and herself. Through processes of digital reconstruction and deconstruction, she creates an artificial reality that blurs the boundaries between representation and illusion. The resulting works engage with ideas of myth and fable while evoking notions of grandeur, significance, and splendor.
