Mom
Through a sequence of 12 exposures, my mother recounts stories of her migration, revealing moments of human connection, physical contact, and emotional vulnerability. Her recollections become a way of externalizing the complexities of displacement, making visible the intimate and often unspoken struggles of leaving home and rebuilding a life elsewhere. By layering and fragmenting these exposures, I translate her memories into a visual narrative that reflects the instability of recollection and the emotional weight carried across generations. Mom explores migration not only as a physical journey across borders, but also as an ongoing process of negotiating identity, belonging, separation, and the enduring ties that connect us to family and home.
