Rorschach Technique merges the shape of Vietnam and attaches itself to the shape of the United States.  Mirrored like inkblots, and intertwined with red cherry blossoms.  The yellow of the country shapes is the same color used in the Vietnam flag.  The integration of both the country shapes signify the duality of my native country Vietnam, and the country in which I became a born citizen, the U.S.  The Rorschach Technique is used to examine a subject’s personality characteristics, emotional functioning and perceptions, which inspired the visual impact of my wallpaper equally named Rorschach Technique.

The portrait is of my paternal grandparents, taken by my father in his portrait studio in Can Tho, Vietnam before the Fall of Saigon.
